ORGANIZATION

Goal

Task(s)

Change to yearly annual membership

Dues: 15.00 Individual / 25.00 family

Less work for tracking who paid when, pay half after July,

Add board members from each bike shop

Involve local bike shops in decisions and direction for advocacy issues and community events

Develop event support infrastructure

Foster contacts for volunteers, community orgs, parade permits, police escorts, etc

Assign and coordinate with project owners for key club projects

Utilize web and monthly officer meetings to plan and track progress

Communications: Increase  presence in community

Use of bulletin-boards, signage on Riverwalk and Adopt a Mile programs, presentations at community orgs, schools and clubs (Girls Inc, Boys and Girls, Scouts, etc), TV (5 oclock show)

Official affiliations with advocacy groups

LAB, GA BIKES, SORBA, IMBA

Founding Member Status of GA BIKES organization

Support and representation on key statewide advocacy group

Define fiscal standards and guidelines for using club funds

Redesign of website  to add interactive calendar, communicate events and progress on advocacy projects, educate. Key features: interactive calendar, who we are, club contacts, feature photo pic of locals in actions, useful links, full listing of newsletters,

Ebulletin

Maintain semi weekly schedule, automate delivery from website under admin sign-ons based on member name+password, abbreviate and used website for fuller info.

Online maps and guides to best riding in area

Members to submit cue sheets of favorite rides, fill map page and link to showcasing Columbus section

Bulletin board maintenance using printouts from website (perhaps a special area for shops only)

Increase frequency of updates to bulletin boards, use website for easy deliver of forms, flyers that shops can print and place on bulletin boards

Ride hotline

Explore need, appoint ride coordinator to update hotline, web and newsletter

Conference call line/account for officer meetings

Newspaper article (weekly or monthly feature on cycling in the community)
